About Us

I was a horse crazy kid with very little chance to direct that passion.  I'd catch any ride I could get and attended a week long horse camp one summer in Girl Scouts but it wasn't until I graduated college that I figured out I needed to take matters into my own hands.  I started taking dressage and eventing lessons and I joined a therapeutic riding program.  I quickly became more involved in therapeutic riding, even becoming a certified instructor.  Meanwhile I ended up purchasing my husband's friend's two horses, Cody and Axel.

My adventures have gone from riding on the boarding property, camping with the horses, "lessons" with my friends followed by happy hour, teaching therapeutic riding, planning to build my own therapeutic riding barn some day, moving my horses to a new boarding barn closer to my house, leasing Cody to a friend so he'd get more riding time, retiring Axel (more or less), adopting a retired therapy horse for my son, to semi-retiring both Cody and Axel and moving them from the Twin Cities out to our future farm in western Minnesota.

Next on deck is spending time with a friend's horse, Booker, bringing him along in some of our new adventures - trying our hand at Ride and Tie and Cowboy Mounted Shooting and who knows what else we find!  We'll spend time with Cody and Axel and Haji on the weekends at the farm and Daniel and I will hopefully spend some time sorting cattle and just riding around the pasture and maybe I'll sneak in a trail ride here and there if I can find a horse to borrow.

Stay tuned ...
